Employee Wellness
Wellness is one of PayPal’s core values, and we offer programs and benefits that support each employee’s financial, mental, and physical health. We seek to create a flexible, balanced work culture and take a holistic approach to leave and benefits, which include parental preparedness, Global Wellness Days for employees to recharge, and a paid sabbatical every five years. PayPal’s Wellness Ambassadors also promote and educate our community on available benefits and resources, such as free online wellness coaching and mental and emotional health support through our Employee Assistance Program.
PayPal’s Employee Financial Wellness initiative continues to be a cornerstone of our overall wellness strategy, and we continue to launch new programs and provide more resources to support employee financial security and literacy. When we established the initiative in 2019, we set a goal to have at least 20% of employee discretionary income remaining after taxes and typical expenses are paid. In 2022, we surpassed that goal and achieved a 26% minimum PayPal-defined estimated net disposable income for employees globally.
