The PayPal Community Impact program partners with nonprofits to equip entrepreneurs and job seekers with tools to grow businesses and serve communities. It also empowers employees to contribute their time, skills, and resources to organizations aligned with our mission. In 2024, PayPal employees volunteered over 118,000 hours, with 81% mobilizing to support their communities.

We’re empowering small businesses to thrive

For over 25 years, PayPal has helped small business owners achieve their dreams. Beyond our platform, our nonprofit partnerships support hundreds of entrepreneurs globally, providing skills-based resources to help historically excluded groups start, sustain, and scale their businesses. These partnerships leverage our resources and expertise to address global economic inequity.

PayPal employees also volunteer to coach, mentor, and provide pro bono support to help small businesses grow and digitize. 89% of those involved in our Community Impact program said it benefited their personal and professional growth.

We’re committed to skill-building in our communities.

Our Community Impact program provides employees with opportunities to coach and mentor youth as they pursue a future as entrepreneurs. Through these engagements, young entrepreneurs learn how to start their businesses and gain transferable skills like problem-solving and team building. These interactive, skills-based activities connect our employees with our mission and reinforce the importance of expanding economic opportunity for the next generation. We also encourage our employees to support the causes they are most passionate about through our Community Impact time off policy, which gives each employee up to eight hours of paid time off annually to volunteer with an eligible charity or community service organization.

We’re enabling our local communities

Through the PayPal Community Impact Grants Program, we provide local nonprofits with grants, volunteer support, pro bono services, and other resources to build capacity.

To bring diverse perspectives together, we invite employees to select nonprofits that create economic opportunities in their communities.
