Anshu Bhardwaj Chief AI Transformation & Simplification Officer
Anshu Bhardwaj is PayPal’s Chief AI Transformation & Simplification Officer, responsible for an enterprise-wide AI agenda focused on defining and executing a strategy anchored in high-impact use cases and measurable value creation. She most recently led Global Solutions Engineering at PayPal, where her team built AI-native solutions and modernized checkout experiences.
A seasoned technology executive, Anshu brings deep expertise at the intersection of technology, retail, and digital commerce, with a strong track record of driving innovation, growth, and transformation at scale. Before joining PayPal, she held senior leadership roles at Walmart, including SVP & COO of Walmart Global Tech. There, she led enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives and founded Walmart Commerce Technologies, the company’s first SaaS business, scaling it into a high-growth platform. She also served as Chief Product Officer for SamsClub.com, where she led the development of “Scan & Go,” an industry-leading cashier-less checkout experience.
She serves on multiple advisory and nonprofit boards, including the University of Chicago Alumni Board and the Advisory Board of Lesbians Who Tech. She previously served on the boards of Walmart Global Tech India, Walmart Foundation, Shoptalk, and the CNBC Tech Executive Council. She has also has been named among the Top 100 Women in Tech, recognized for her commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and inclusive growth across the technology ecosystem.
Anshu holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.
