Aaron J. Webster Global Chief Risk Officer
Aaron J. Webster is the Global Chief Risk Officer at PayPal. In this role, he
oversees the company's global risk management function, including financial crimes, credit risk,
fraud prevention, regulatory affairs, government relations, compliance, risk governance, and
physical security programs.
Before joining PayPal, Aaron was the Chief Risk Officer at SoFi, where he led the development of
integrated risk management programs to support the launch and growth of SoFi Bank, NA. He also
scaled global operations and established a presence in Latin America to promote financial
inclusion in the region.
Aaron has a long and distinguished career in global financial services, with experience in Latin
America, Asia, Central Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. He has held senior risk management
positions at Citibank, Toyota Financial Services, and GE Capital, where he oversaw risk
policies, strategies, and growth initiatives in various markets.
Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill.
