Diego Scotti General Manager, Consumer Group
As General Manager of PayPal’s Consumer Group, Diego is responsible for bringing PayPal’s breadth of consumer products and services together in a cohesive, integrated, and seamless customer experience and value proposition, and driving enhanced brand awareness and use for PayPal and Venmo. Diego oversees Marketing and Communications, as well as Product Design across all lines of business.
Diego is a seasoned marketing executive with a proven track record of building iconic brands and
innovative
customer experiences. Most recently, Diego was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing
Officer at Verizon
and drove the transformation of Verizon from a phone company to a technology, purpose-driven,
and
experience-based brand. Prior to Verizon, Diego served as the Chief Marketing Officer for J.
Crew and before
that he led marketing at Vogue. Earlier in his career, Diego spent 15 years at American Express
where he led
several global functions including global advertising and brand, consumer, and small business
product
development, and managed the loyalty and engagement programs.
An advocate for diversity in the marketing and advertising industries, Diego is the founder of
adfellows, a
fellowship program designed to upskill diverse talent and drive gender inclusion. He is
immediate past chair of the Ad Council and serves on the boards of the Association of National
Advertisers and Global Citizen.
Diego holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications from Universidad de Ciencias
Empresariales y
